ZZY'S FRIED CHICKEN

CONVERTING A FORMER NAIL SALON INTO A RESTAURANT SPACE

In this project, the client needed to convert an old hair salon into a restaurant space.

To achieve this, TNB undertook a complete gut renovation of the salon and basement, creating space for essential restaurant features like a walk-in refrigerator and storage areas. Collaborating with a commercial kitchen consultant and Input Creative Studio for interior design, we ensured the space was transformed according to the desired aesthetic and functional requirements.

REDESIGNING AND RENOVATING AN APARTMENT TO FIT A GROWING FAMILY

In this project, a growing family sought to expand their living space and add a separate nanny suite to their classic six-bedroom apartment on the Upper West Side. To achieve this, we redesigned the kitchen to open up the floor plan, meeting the family’s needs. The renovation included a new master bathroom, HVAC system, refinished and repaired floors, recreated moldings, repaired damaged areas, updated bathrooms, and new electrical and lighting throughout.

RENOVATING AND EXPANDING A SOHO PENTHOUSE

In this project, the client aimed to upgrade their two-bedroom SoHo penthouse by adding a third bedroom and a second bathroom while enhancing the outdoor gathering areas. To achieve this, we fully remodeled the apartment, introducing a master suite with a private bathroom, modernizing the kitchen and living room, and updating the fireplace. We installed more oversized solarium windows to highlight the city views and revamped the outdoor space with a new grilling area and a pergola on the front terrace. Additionally, foldable glass doors were added to improve the connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces.

Our Clients
Neil Schwarz of TNB Architecture exceeded my highest expectations during all phases of a complete renovation of a 1925 sixth floor walkup apartment in the East Village. He provided solid advice and recommendations with several floor plans and options to choose from. He also offered advice on fixtures and finishes. His services were affordable and worth every penny. During the most challenging moments in the renovation, Neil remained calm, providing solutions to the most daunting of problems we encountered from navigating solutions for the coop board to dealing with gas and electric issues.
