THE PROJECT: A FUTURE-READY WORKSPACE DESIGNED TO ENHANCE MEMBER SERVICES AND DAILY OPERATIONS.

This project involves the relocation and comprehensive renovation of the union’s office facilities in Staten Island, aimed at creating a modern, functional, and member-focused space. The initiative transitioned the union from its previous location to a new site that better supports its evolving operational needs and long-term goals.

DESIGNING A SOLUTION

Our process began with a deep dive into the union’s operational needs, member services, and long-term goals. Through collaborative workshops, site evaluations, and space planning exercises, we developed a design strategy that prioritized functionality, flow, and flexibility. We worked closely with the client throughout every phase—aligning on vision, refining layouts, and selecting materials that balanced durability with a modern, professional aesthetic. Accessibility and infrastructure upgrades were integrated early in the design process to ensure the space would meet current and future needs.

THE RESULT

The completed space reflects a thoughtful balance of form and function. The new office features a streamlined layout that improves day-to-day efficiency, clearly defined zones for member engagement, and upgraded systems that enhance comfort and usability. A warm, contemporary design language supports a welcoming atmosphere while projecting a strong, professional identity. As a tribute to the union’s legacy, a custom mural honoring the former union president was integrated into the space, offering a meaningful visual anchor that celebrates the organization’s history and leadership. The result is a future-ready workspace that embodies the union’s values and equips them to better serve their members for years to come.
