THE PROJECT: RECONFIGURING A HARLEM BROWNSTONE

This family of four needed more space, but they also wanted their space to bring them closer together.

DESIGNING A SOLUTION

TNB reworked the brownstone’s floorplan, opening up the staircase and kitchen and dining areas to let family members to both relax and work in proximity to each other, allowing, for instance, the kids to do their homework in sight of their parents cooking dinner. Renovations of the home’s bathrooms provided additional space. We managed the entire project, including significant work on the construction administration side.

THE RESULT

TNB’s reconfiguration created a home that was both roomier and more intimate, making it easier for family members to be close when they wanted while also maintaining space to be apart.
